Noble High School celebrates 100 years of graduates

NORMAN — Noble High School is celebrating its 100th anniversary.

The first graduating class of Noble High School consisted of three graduates, Roy Austin, Rudolph Amrein and Vera Ovits. Noble High School Alumni are seeking descendants of these original graduates prior to an All-School Centennial celebration slated for June 7-8 at the school.

The annual golf tournament will kick off June 7 at 7:30 a.m. at the Purcell Golf Course, 1400 Chandler Rd. in Purcell. A free concert featuring Darlin Darla from the Rodeo Opry in Oklahoma City and the Noble Heirs Gospel Group with Lavonne Farris on the piano is planned later that evening at 7:30 p.m.

School visitation is scheduled for June 8 with a banquet scheduled at 5 p.m.

For more information about the reunion or to share information about descendants of Austin, Amrein or Ovits, contact Joyce Miller Carle at 405-872-5157 or email her at joyce.carle@sbcglobal.net.
