Our tax dollars well-spent

NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:

As a retired senior couple, did we need something to do, go to an open house for cake and punch or just get out of the house? No, we wanted to see how our investment of tax dollars were used as we voted for the bond issue for our community school system.

After touring the open house for the retrofit improvements to existing schools, and the new Ronald Reagan School, we were so delighted we had invested in our children’s future to further their education.

We saw such inviting environments for a learning experience with opportunity of children taking pride in their schools. Norman community, you did well passing the school bond for our community’s future.

The list would be so lengthy of “thank you”s and recognitions to all the people who have had the vision and dreams of our growth with such new technology and design that we saw, but, Dr. Joe Siano, thanks for your leadership and the whole community, as we believe you have made a positive investment in the future of our children and city.

Sincerely,

Seniors who have had two children go through the Norman school system and five grandchildren.

P.S. Our guess would be our great-grandchildren will do the same.

MARY STACY
