Editor, The Transcript:
On Veterans Day, there was an excellent ceremony at the Cleveland County Veterans Memorial honoring those Veterans who have paid the ultimate price for our country's freedom and those veterans that are still with us. I would like to thank all that participated and observed in this ceremony, plus those who made the arrangements.
It was specially gratify to see a class of youngsters from Madison Elementary school observing the ceremony. The young folks were attentive and I hope carry something lasting away from the ceremony.
I am sorry that neither the city nor the county was able to provide representation at the ceremony.
Thanks and Semper Fi,
Bob Staples
Norman
