Editor, The Transcript:
I understand that October is breast cancer month and being a cancer surviver myself (not breast) research for cancer is vital, but October is also SIDS month (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.) I lost my only daughter to this in 1975 when it was called cribdeath. After thorough autopsy and investigation, the cause of death is still unknown.
In the United States, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome remains the leading cause of death of infants between the ages of one month and one year. SIDS happens in families of all social, economic and ethnic groups and is not contagious or hereditary. Please go to Firstcandle.com and if you can read about this as this happens every day. We have to be the voices of these Angels that have left us to soon.
Thank you and God Bless.
