The day the music died... at Lloyd Noble Center

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Editor, The Transcript:

Where was the “Pride” Monday night? Not where they should have been--inside Lloyd Noble Center supporting one of the premier women’s basketball programs in the United States, playing the No. 1 ranked women’s team in the United States.

The game was televised nationally and OU’s team was supported by thousands of fans, the cheerleaders and pompom girls. A light drizzle on a chilly night was no excuse for the pep band’s absence. Where was the pride of the “Pride?”
