Weight Watchers unveils new store design to Norman

NORMAN — Weight Watchers is unveiling a newly designed store in Norman with a contemporary, yet welcoming and comfortable environment. The store, located in University Town Park at 1636 N. 24th Street, Suite F2 will be open during regular retail hours, so people can stop in anytime and learn more about Weight Watchers, ask questions, purchase memberships, and can shop for many Weight Watchers products designed to support a healthier lifestyle.

Members can also weigh in at their convenience in a way that is more discrete than ever before. This new store design in Norman will be one of hundreds of new stores that Weight Watchers expects to open this year, bringing the number to over 500 by the end of the year.

The new design creates an atmosphere conducive to a comfortable, warm and inviting weight loss experience. These stores are another part of Weight Watchers continued improvements and were designed to make member’s experience at Weight Watchers a more enjoyable one while inspiring them to succeed in their journey. The Weight Watchers store features some of the area’s most inspiring success stories — the local staff — who are helping their members develop healthier habits.

“We are thrilled to deliver the PointsPlus 2012 program in such a contemporary and convenient setting to support area residents in their efforts in making smart, healthy and satisfying choices to lose weight,” said local Weight Watchers leader and ambassador Shelley Lombardi. “Meetings continue to be an important part of how Weight Watchers helps members reach their goals. We welcome people to stop in anytime for a tour of our newly designed location or to visit a meeting for free.”

Weight Watchers, ranked the No. 1 commercial diet plan in 2012 by US News & World Report, launched the PointsPlus 2012 earlier this year with the enhancements designed to help members who are new to Weight Watchers begin the program with the strongest start possible, as well as tools to help members stay on track.

Members with an eTools subscription can access mobile technology tools such iPhone, iPad and Android apps. Further, the Barcode Scanner App for iPhone or Android allow users to scan bar codes on food packages and instantly get PointsPlus values for thousands of food items. Users can then send to their Trackers with the touch of a button. It brings an entirely new dimension to navigating the grocery store.
