Where it’s @

Norman — Even though it seems like a no-brainer, Norman may soon be getting its first doughnut shop/cyber cafe hybird.

Hannah Park and her husband, Jung, who also own Daylight Donuts on Flood Avenue, opened @Cafe, 1300 12th Ave. SE, No. 200 Thursday morning.

“My husband and I are huge computer gurus and when I was in college I always wanted a place like this,” Park said. “It’s more of a comfort lounge than a doughnut shop.”

Park said the shop will be a “hot spot,” meaning customers with properly equipped laptops can get free Internet access while eating dounts. She said the interior will be decked out in sofas and long table that seats about 12.

And unlike a lot of places, doughnuts at the Parks’ shops are not delivered every morning in a truck.

“All the doughnuts are handmade every day,” Park said. “We don’t use machines or anything to roll and cut the doughnuts.”

Daylight Donuts delivers to businesses and those who order on a daily basis. For more information, call 701-1490.
