Parents Helping Parents to meet

Transcript Staff The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — A representative from Crossroads Youth and Family will speak 7 p.m. Thursday at the Norman Chapter of Parents Helping Parents at the Education Center of Norman Regional Hospital, 901 N. Porter.

Nolanda Sobel will discuss the Community at Risk Services program to local adolescents. She also is scheduled to discuss factors that could put young people at risk for substance abuse.

Parents Helping Parents is a network of parents and others concerned about alcohol and substance abuse among young people. The group promotes prevention and intervention, collaborative efforts and increased access to information, services and support.
