NORMAN — Admission is free today to visitors of the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, 2401 Chautauqua Ave. The museum offers free admission the first Monday of each month, and in September, the first Monday also is Labor Day. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
Visitors can view the special exhibition “Chocolate,” on tour from The Field Museum in Chicago. This exhibition traces the natural history of chocolate, from its origins as a tree growing in the tropical rainforest through its use as a sacred drink by the ancient Mayans and Aztecs to the international commodity it is today. Chocolate closes Sunday.
