NORMAN — Street sweeping

During the week beginning Oct. 15, Norman Public Works will provide street sweeping services within the area bounded by 24th Avenue Southeast, Alameda Street, 36th Avenue Southeast and Lindsey Street.

Residents are encouraged to remove parked cars from the streets identified within those boundaries between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. For more information call 329-2524.

 

Road closure

Beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday through 6 p.m. on Oct. 29, 36th Ave Northwest between Carrington Lane and Bridgeport Road will be closed for construction of road improvements.

Access to all adjacent properties will remain open to traffic including All Saint’s Catholic School and surrounding subdivisions. The contractor on the project is Silver Star Construction. Traffic control will be provided to protect the traveling public.

 

Sidewalk closure

Beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday through 6 p.m. on Oct. 26, the public sidewalk on the east side of south Peters between Main Street and Comanche Street will be closed to allow repairs to the adjacent private building. The contractor on the project is Commercial Glass & Material, Inc.

Pedestrian traffic control will be provided to protect the public.
