NORMAN — Spring Break

agility camp

Spring Break Speed and Agility Camp in collaboration with Youth Performance camp will be from 10 a.m. to noon, March 19-21 at the Whittier Recreation Center. This camp is for youth ages 8-14 and the cost is $75 for the camp. Youth Performance is a sports performance and general fitness training organization that works only with youth.

The speed and agility camp will be run by strength and conditioning professionals from Youth Performance, a sports performance and general fitness training facility located on the west side of Norman. Chat Williams, MS, CSCS*D, NSCA-CPT*D and Ryan McClure, BS, CSCS, NSCA-CPT have worked considerably with youth athletes and non-athletes to improve strength, power, agility, speed, flexibility, body composition, health, and self-confidence. Their certifications through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, their college degrees in exercise science, and their experience training athletes and non-athletes will greatly benefit your child or your team. The Youth Performance staff will be available to answer questions about speed and agility, strength and conditioning, and nutrition 30 minutes before and after every day of camp.

New parking

restriction

On Monday, City Traffic Control Division crews will be installing “No Parking Any Time” signs along both sides of Northwest Boulevard, between Copperfield Drive and North Interstate Drive. This action is being taken in response to a request from the majority of the businesses located in the immediate area. As required by City policy, property owners along Northwest Boulevard followed the process and submitted a valid support petition for the new parking restriction.  If there are further questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Angelo Lombardo, City Transportation Engineer, at 405-366-5327.
