Quilt tour to make stop in Lexington

"Thanking Our Troops -- God Bless America Touring Quilts" will make a stop at Lexington High School this week.

The exhibit of 60 quilts will be at the school, 801 E. Broadway Ave., from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The quilts, made by people from around the state, all have a patriotic theme.

Judy Howard, owner for of Buckboard Quilts for 34 years and author of several quilting books, will present her antique quilt trunk show program, "Under the Covers with Granny Reveals Oklahoma History" at 9:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. Featured will be a lifesize Abraham Lincoln quilt, a President's Quilt made by students from Moore's Plaza Towers Elementary School and historic quilts dating back to 1837. She also will sign copies of her books.
