Nancy McCall's Raspberry-Blueberry Sour Cream Pound Cake was selected as the winner of the International Pantry's Bundt Cake Contest Saturday. The contest took place in recognition of National Bundt Cake Day.
McCall received a $100 gift certificate to the store.
The second-place winner was Sarah Seachris with her Blueberry Crumb Cake. She received a $50 gift certificate, with the third-place prize of a $50 gift certificate going to Brittany Ross for her Orange Chocolate Chunk Bundt Cake.
Other cake entries included Banana Rum Cake, Christmas Morning Coffee Cake and Sweet Potato Bourbon Cake. After the judging, customers enjoyed samples of the cakes and voted on their favorite. The winner of the People's Choice Award and a $50 gift certificate was Gaye Rogers with Caramel Apple Cake.
"This is the second year we have held the Bundt Cake Contest," store owner Jocelyn Wall said. "It is quickly becoming a tradition here at the International Pantry, and something our customers look forward to all year long."
