Thetas' Flaming Festival back for 53rd year

The 53rd annual Flaming Festival is set for Nov. 4, at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. The featured presenter is singer Amy Grant,

Also part of the event are nearly 40 themed tabletops done by Kappa Alpha Theta alumnae and area merchants.

The Flaming Festival is presented by the Kappa Alpha Theta Oklahoma City Alumnae Chapter and runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is preceded by the evening Preview Cocktail Party which kicks off the Festival 5 p.m. Nov. 3.

"The Flaming Festival offers a new and different experience every year because of the creative spirit of our Thetas and commercial vendors that inspire us with fabulous, fun tabletop displays," said Flaming Festival co-chairman Johnna Schick.

Proceeds from the Flaming Festival benefit the "Food 4 Kids" program through the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the local Oklahoma County CASA chapter to aid in training and support for volunteers.

Tickets for the Flaming Festival are $5, luncheon tickets are $75, and Preview Party tickets are $50.

For ticket information, call Donna Blakley at 842-4928.
