Ben Franklin visits center
The Oklahoma History Center presents "An Evening with Benjamin Franklin" 7 p.m. today. Hear Ben tell of his early life in Boston as an apprentice to his brother. Spend time in Philadelphia with stories of printing and inventing. And he will talk about the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and how he was able to win the revolutionary war ... with his kite.
The Oklahoma History Center will open its doors at 6 p.m. The first floor museum galleries will be open for visitors to enjoy. Seating is limited and available on a first come first serve basis.
Franklin, portrayed by Stephen Smith, will lead the audience in a discussion and end the program with questions from the audience.
Smith has portrayed Franklin for almost 20 years in schools and libraries across the state and beyond.
