Legion to host dinner

NORMAN — RSVPdeadline is Wednesday

The Norman American Legion Post 88 will host a Vietnam Veterans Honor Dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the National Guard Armory at Tecumseh Road and Interstate 35.

All Vietnam veterans and one guest (spouse or other family member) are invited for a free dinner. Post Commander Ernie Martin urged all local Cleveland County Vietnam veterans to RSVP by Wednesday evening by calling 306-7111, 527-8498, 364-1880 or 202-0107.

“This is a chance for Vietnam veterans to join with others for some old-fashioned comradeship with veterans of this era from 1959-1975,” Martin said.

Post 88 requests that no children be brought. The program will include several speakers whose topics will be centered toward the Vietnam veteran of the past and present.
