Tickets are on sale for Full Circle Senior Adult Day Center's "Purse-onality" fundraiser. The event is 11 a.m. Sept. 26 at the Norman Assistance League building, 809 Wall St.
The featured part of the event will be a live auction of several celebrity handbags, including a children's book signed and donated by former First Lady Laura Bush and Mitzi Baker purses donated by Megyn Price, who stars in the CBS show "Rules of Engagement."
The event will feature items in "every price range," said Tammy Vaughn, executive director at Full Circle. In addition to the celebrity handbag auction, other designer and vintage bags will be part of a silent auction, and Brockhaus Jewelry will have a jewelry showing. Also, there will be several door prizes consisting of jewelry, coffee baskets, massages and pedicures.
Each guest will also receive a gift bag with numerous items.
"It will be fun for mothers, for grandmothers to bring their granddaughters to, a great girlfriends thing," Vaughn said.
Benvenuti's will provide a luncheon featuring a surprise for guests.
"There's going to be a dessert he's never done for any other event," Vaughn said. "And Hob Nob Rob is going to do a signature drink he has not done for any other event."
Tickets cost $60 each and can be purchased at Benvenuti's, Brockhaus Jewelry, Hob Nob Rob's, through Jane Cook at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church or at Full Circle's office, 1185 E. Main St.
