Library announces computer classes

NORMAN — The Norman Public Library’s Computer Training Center has announced its public class schedule for September. All classes are free.

Registration may be done in person at the library’s Information Services Desk, by calling 701-2620 or online through the events calendar at the Norman Public Library’s website, www.justsoyouknow.us/norman.

Each class consists of verbal and visual instruction and includes guided practice through various activities.

September’s schedule includes:

Computer use classes

Building mouse skills — 1-3 p.m. Sept. 20

Computer keyboarding — 1-3 p.m. Sept. 21

Computer basics — 9:30-11:30 a.m. Sept. 8

File management — 6-8 p.m. Sept. 10

 

Computer software classes

Microsoft Word 2007 part 1: Basic word processing — 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sept 9 or 1-3 p.m. Sept. 14

Microsoft Word 2007 part 2: Cut, copy and paste — 1-3 p.m. Sept. 15 or 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 16

Microsoft Word 2007 part 3: Short cuts and special features — 1-3 p.m. Sept. 16 or 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 23

Microsoft Word 2007 part 4: Page set-up, toolbars and tables — 1-3 p.m. Sept. 17 or 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 30

Microsoft Excel 2007 part 1 — 9:30-11:30 a.m. Sept. 21

Microsoft Excel 2007 part 2 — 9:30-11:30 a.m. Sept. 23

Microsoft Excel 2007 part 3 — 9:30-11:30 a.m. Sept. 24

Microsoft Publisher — 1-3 p.m. Sept. 22

Microsoft PowerPoint — 1-3 p.m. Sept. 24
