NORMAN — Delta Kappa Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha recently awarded the Men of Oklahoma and its founders, Cris Shutt and Linda and Steve Crooks, as this year’s Diana Award honorees.
The foundation was given the award last month at Goodrich United Methodist Church. They were chosen for their work in the fight against cancer. Their idea for the Men of Oklahoma calendar was inspired by the courage of their close friend, Sheryl Auringer, in her fight against breast cancer. A kick-off party for the calendar was hosted in October. It is estimated that the party raised $30,000.
Calendars can be purchased at Dara Marie’s, 1420 N. Porter Ave.; HeyDay Entertainment Center, 3201 Market Place; Athletic Loft, 3058 Classen Blvd.; Gracie Ray’s, 1419 24th Ave. SW; and Hair Xpert Salon, 1370 N. Interstate Drive, Suite 162.
