NORMAN — Kennedy Elementary School
Mrs. Ratcliff’s fourth-grade class has been working on figurative language. They are creating a book of figurative language with meanings and illustrations.
Ms. Watson’s fourth-graders are exploring who traveled to the North American continent hundreds of years ago. The exploration will take students to the present day, which also will explore how the government works.
Fifth-graders interviewed each other and wrote biographies about their classmates. They are continuing their study of biographies by focusing on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Also, in honor of King’s birthday, Mrs. Ashley’s fifth-graders will write down their dreams of how to make the world a better place. Each student’s dream will be written in a cartoon bubble and placed around King’s picture.
