Coaches by S&B to pay it forward to Food and Shelter Inc.

NORMAN — On Tuesday, Coaches by S&B, formerly Coaches restaurant on Main Street, will donate 10 percent of its food sales, from open until close, to Food and Shelter and their hunger relief efforts in Norman.

“At our restaurants S&B Burger Joint in Oklahoma City, paying it forward was a way we could use our delicious food to support the amazing nonprofits working to make our community a better place. We bring this mission to Norman as we develop our first restaurant, Coaches by S&B,” said Shannon Roper, co-owner of S&B Burger Joint and the new Coaches by S&B.

Food and Shelter has seen exponential increases in the number of women, children and men seeking food through their soup kitchen and food pantry.

“Food and Shelter needs these funds to ensure anyone who walks in the door hungry can leave with a full belly. This is becoming increasingly difficult as we are seeing record numbers in our dining room,” said April Doshier, executive director of Food and Shelter.

Food and Shelter averaged more than 200 dining room guests per day in August and September.
