Mainsite Gallery, 122 E. Main St., will host a closing reception for an installation, "Unified Love Movement," by Oklahoma-born artists Garrison and Alison Buxton 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Brooklyn-based Garrison and Alison own and operate Peripheral Media Projects, an art and design studio, as well as Ad Hoc Art, an art gallery and community hub.
The installation is a 360 degree visual environment that encourages the use of insight, mutual respect and self-reflection as tools for dealing with the Buxton's views of today's social discordance and cultural turmoil.
This was Garrison's second show at Mainsite, and the pair's first major installation at the gallery.
Sunday, the piece will be uninstalled and moved to Miami, eventually journeying back for its New York City debut.
"Unified Love Movement" is the culmination of years of thought, reflection and observance of humanity's collective existence on Earth.
