The annual South by Southwest Conference and Festival will take place in Austin starting tonight through March 21. The Music and Media Conference occurrs March 17-21. Bands from all over the world will perform on more than 80 stages in downtown Austin. Registration is available through the event for hefty fees ranging from $475 to $1,225. Oklahoma Showcase at SXSW

The theme for this year’s Oklahoma showcase is “Sax, Clogs and Rock-n-Roll.” The showcase will take place March 18 downtown Austin. Wanda Jackson will be headlining the event. Other Oklahoma musicians performing between 2 to 5 p.m. include Fiawna Forte, Green Corn Revival, The Pretty Black Chains, The Red Alert, K.C. Clifford, Camille Harp, Chase Kerby and Daniel Walcher.
