NORMAN — Norman high schools were ranked as one of the top 10 high schools in the state for results on the 2010 ACT, which were presented to the State Board of Education recently, according to a news release.
Norman North High School was recognized as the school with the third highest score in the state, with an ACT score of 24. Norman High School was ranked at eighth in the state with an ACT score of 22.9.
The composite ACT score for the Norman Public Schools is 23.5, compared to the state average of 20.7 and the national average of 21.
According to a news release, the number of eligible students in the state who participated in the 2010 ACT testing was 73 percent.
