Seat to open on NPS school board

NORMAN — The Norman Board of Education will discuss a resolution to submit to district voters the task of electing a new board member for Board Position No. 3 Monday evening.

Set for 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers 201 W. Gray, the meeting will also include the board’s authorization the Administrative Services Center’s Interior Design plan — revealing whether or not predicted savings in this phase will compensate for an over-budget bid approved at the last board meeting.

Two information presentations are on the meeting agenda, one of which will focus on the first quarter’s progress of extensive Professional Development.

A lengthy awards presentation will start off the meeting, with 17 high school students set to receive certificates for various achievements.
