NORMAN — A community’s history, current issues, leadership models and service are all part of what makes it unique.
Those facts and figures are passed from generations through various methods.
One is Leadership Norman, an annual gathering of residents and those who merely work here.
Sponsored by the Norman Chamber of Commerce, the program selects 30 for membership in this year’s class.
They hold 15 interactive sessions over a six-month period, ending with an April graduation.
Class members are often emerging young professionals and residents, but they can include anyone intent on making Norman a better place to live, work and raise families.
Applications are available at the chamber’s office or online at www.normanchamber.com.
A selection committee will begin reviewing the applications next month after the Aug. 20 deadline expires.
