Norman — A celebration of life memorial service for Raymond Wilcox is scheduled 10 a.m. Saturday at Etowah Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Senter officiating.
Mr. Willcox, 86, died Dec. 17, 2009, at his home in Norman. He was born March 29, 1923, near Weleetka, to Myrtle White-Willcox and Marvin Willcox. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1941 to 1965.
He was predeceased by his wife Dottie, sons Raymond and Alan, his parents, grandparents and six brothers. Survivors include his wife Mary Ellen, sister Lenora Willcox-McCalip, brother-in-law Norman McCalip, all of Norman; son Jeffrey and daughter-in-law, both of Florida, and many other relatives. At his request, he was cremated and his ashes will be scattered at sea.
