The 24th Annual Brookhaven Run was held Sept. 5 in Norman. More than 1,100 entrants ran and walked the 5k course. Money from the event went to support the Norman North and Norman High cross country programs. Winners included Stephen Ariga (above left), 36, of Allen Tx., won the mens 5k in 14:48. Mekale Davis, 24, Stillwater (17:37) took the 5k women's race. Adam Cohen, 41, Norman (16:06) and Debra Torneden, 48, Wichita, Ks. (18:27) took home prizes for winning the male and female masters divisions. Above right, Norman’s Parker Bowles also competed in the mens 5k.
