Dorothy Klippell, a local Realtor with Coldwell Banker Heart of Oklahoma, recently earned the designation of Senior Real Estate Specialist after completing many hours of class work and passing an examination.
The SRES designation can be used only by those who have demonstrated expertise in providing service to active adults and to their families as they make the transition from one life phase to another.
The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences asked Dr. William Sparks of Sparks Clinic to speak to the senior students regarding alternative healthcare for the Capstone Seminar course. He discussed chiropractic and acupuncture care.
Transcript writers M. Scott Carter and Peggy Laizure and former Transcript writer Brianna Bailey were honored by the Oklahoma Press Association.
Carter and Laizure shared in the sweepstakes Public Service Reporting award for their stories on the county’s efforts in building a new detention center. Bailey was named the sweepstakes winner in the column writing division.
Dave and Dorothy Krueger of Norman were recently awarded an all-expense paid, seven-day Carnival cruise for their accomplishments with the Home & Garden Party Designers.
