Norman jeweler pursues unique lines

NORMAN — Nothing says “I love you” like jewelry, and Katherine Brockhaus is in the business of serving that need for Norman jewelry customers.

As one of Norman’s fine jewelry stores, Brockhaus Jewelry, 2107 W. Main, has been in business since 1952.

What started as a watch repair shop, Tom Brockhaus turned into a business known for its customer service and quality jewelry. But Brockhaus Jewelry isn’t old fashioned.

As the tradition of customer service continues, so does pursuit of the “latest and most unique jewelry lines.”

For many customers, beautiful quality jewelry serves as gifts of love for those they hold most dear.

“People in love come in a lot of different ages,” Katherine Brockhaus said. “We try to have something for all those ages.

“One of the things that’s hot this year, that appeals to many different ages is the Heather B. Moore stamped charms,” she said.

The charms are uniquely modern, yet create the feelings of warmth and good memories that make charms ... wel l ... charming.

Brockhaus said all of the charms can be personalized and engraved.

The Heather Moore line of jewelry is designed to create timeless pieces to commemorate the most cherished moments of our lives. They are created to last and to serve as heirlooms that can be passed down to the next generation.

Brockhaus said that’s the type of quality product the locally owned and operated business carries. Customers will not find overly delicate chains that break the first time they are worn.

Another unique and high quality line, the Andréa Candela collection at Brockhaus, will be featured in a trunk show at the store on Dec. 1.

The Candela jewelry house was founded over seven decades ago by three Candela brothers in Valencia, Spain. Called Candela Hermanos, it became one of the world’s largest manufacturers of karat gold jewelry in that region and has remained at the forefront of European jewelry design and manufacturing through generations of the Candela family.

In 1979, Candela Hermanos expanded to the United States under the name Candela Jewelry Inc. The Andréa Candela design collection is considered as some of the most innovative available while still represting the quality of “Old World” craftsmanship.
