NORMAN — Home Creations taking donations
Home Creations is building a house from donated canned goods to benefit local food banks. The “house of cans” is due for completion early December. The “house of cans” has been a reminder that while Home Creations is in the business of building homes, they are also striving to build a caring and giving community, both with their employees and homeowners across the OKC and Tulsa metro areas. Home Creations will continue to receive canned goods from homeowners at 16 of their communities in Edmond, Piedmont, Yukon, Mustang, Midwest City, Moore, Norman, Collinsville, Broken Arrow. The Food drive ends Dec 14.
Shehan elected to ESAC board
Thomas A. Shehan, President and CEO of Nextep, Inc., has been elected to the Board of Directors for the nationally-recognized Employer Services Assurance Corporation. Established in 1995, ESAC provides financial assurance to clients of professional employer organizationsthrough surety bonds held by the Employer Services Trust on behalf of each participating PEO. Food for Friends gets OG&E gift
OG&E participated in the governor’s food drive this year with each location choosing where to send their food locally. The food that the McClain Power Plant in Newcastle collected about $200 cash that went to Food & Shelter for Friends in Norman.
Company joins professional group
Local cleaning company 2 Green Chicks has joined the Association of Residential Cleaning Services, International. Admission to ARCSI requires residential cleaning companies to adhere to a strict code of ethics and commit to the highest level of professionalism.

City budget manager cited
Norman Budget Manager Suzanne Krohmer completed the rigorous requirements for the Certified Public Finance Officer Credential. The CPFO credential is presented by the Government Finance Officers Association to public finance professionals and academicians. In order to be awarded the CPFO Credential, finance officials must successfully complete five examinations in major areas of public finance curriculum. Each four-hour CPFO examination requires extensive study and preparation on the professional’s own time, and completion of the CPFO Certification demonstrates proficiency in all of the major areas of the public finance profession.
