NORMAN — • Weight Watchers  special event: Weight Watchers  will celebrate its 50th Anniversary on Jan. 12 with  its “One Amazing Day” celebration. Hear extraordinary success stories from local members, live and in person. Plus, get a free introduction to new Weight Watchers 360 program.  This free special event will feature great offers, prizes,  fun surprises and is open to the public.

 The Norman locations, 1607 24th Ave, Suite 104 will celebrate from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    

· NAFA Capital Markets and White Rock Advisors join forces: NAFA Capital Markets LLC has entered into a partnership with White Rock Advisors LLC, the Investment Banking arm of Chapman Hext & Co. P.C. Affiliates, to combine the two full service broker-dealers. This partnership will allow both entities to enhance their offerings to tribes and tribal entities when they are financing their economic development projects.

John Fryrear, principal of NAFA, is a Chickasaw tribal member and long-time resident of Norman. Started in 2005, NAFA Capital Markets is a specialized broker-dealer and investment banking firm committed to providing value added services within the tribal finance arena.

 

· Chili Supper: The Police/Fire Chili Supper is from 5:30 to 7 p.m on Thursday at the Norman High School commons area. Park in the east lot.  Supper tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance at the Norman Police or Fire Departments, the University of Oklahoma Police Department and the Norman Public Schools Campus Police or at the door, for no additional cost. Children under five years of age eat free. Generous to-go portions will be available beginning at 5:30 pm.

Proceeds benefit the Cleveland County Christmas Store because all of the ingredients were donated. The police andfire donated over $6500 last year and hope to raise more this year.
