NORMAN — Lindsey and Asp adds two to agency
Norman natives, Kourtney Spurgeon and Sheon Paige, were recently hired by the Lindsey and Asp Advertising and Public Relations Agency at the University of Oklahoma. The agency is one of only 10 fully integrated student-operated agencies in the nation. Spurgeon will be working with CPRE as the Account Lead and Paige will be on the NCVB account. Selection as a member of the agency is the result of a rigorous interview and portfolio review process and is a very noteworthy accomplishment. The selection rate over the past year has been less than 30 percent of all applicants, which is typically 50 or more.
Norman bankers graduate OBA school
Brandi Breeden, consumer loan underwriter at First American Bank, and Tonya Elliott, loan assistant at McClain Bank, recently completed the Oklahoma Bankers Association Consumer Lending School in Oklahoma City. Breeden and Elliott were among 40 graduates of the school. The OBA Consumer Lending School, conducted annually, educates students on the overall consumer credit function and helps develop skills to meet the needs of loan customers and their bank. Specific areas of training include loan application generation and credit analysis, loan pricing, collections, direct and indirect lending, real estate structure, bank liability, compliance, risk management, bankruptcy and banking trends.
Feed the Children adds staff to executive team
Feed The Children has announced the addition of Matt Panos and Corey Gordon to the executive team. Panos will serve as chief development officer and Gordon will serve as chief marketing and communications officer. Panos will serve as chief development officer, bringing to the position more than 30 years of experience in the nonprofit industry. He will be responsible for expanding Feed The Children’s fundraising programs and capabilities, as well as working to develop and implement a comprehensive global fundraising strategy to expand financial support for services here in the U.S. and internationally. Gordon will be responsible for all marketing and communications efforts, in addition to expanding relationships with corporate, church and government partners to grow financial and in-kind support.

Rick Steen has been named the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Deputy Director for Child Welfare Services in Region Two, which includes much of southern and central Oklahoma including Cleveland, Garvin, McClain, Pottawatomie counties.
