CHICKASHA (AP) — Authorities are searching for a Grady County jail inmate who escaped custody while receiving treatment at a medical clinic.
Chickasha Police Chief Eddie Adamson says authorities don’t yet know how 20-year-old Dillon Lindsey escaped Monday afternoon at a clinic near Grady Memorial Hospital.
Lindsey was being held in the Grady County Jail as he awaited trial on drug and weapons charges. The police chief says authorities are using a helicopter in the search for Lindsey.
Adamson tells the Chickasha Express-Star that Lindsey was wearing an orange inmate uniform at the time of his escape, but that he’d discarded his shirt in woods south of Grady Memorial Hospital.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chickasha Police Department or Grady County Sheriff’s Department.
