NORMAN — Over 10,000 fans were at Lloyd Noble Center for Oklahoma’s victory over Kansas. It was the largest crowd of the season and the biggest in several years that didn’t involve free admission.
OU coach Lon Kruger heaped a ton of praise on Sooner fans after the game. They were loud throughout and the team benefitted from the energy.
Kruger said there was another added bonus.
“Those wins over top five teams in the country are very important. A lot of our younger recruits were in the house on Saturday. They saw the crowd and they saw the level of play and the enthusiasm,” he said. “Without question, it helps a great deal.”
The Sooners face TCU at 6 p.m. tonight at Lloyd Noble Center.
