NORMAN — Early voting for Moore Norman Technology Center board members, Norman School Board and the Moore School District bond issue at 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and will continue on Monday at the Cleveland County Election Board, 641 E. Robinson St. in Norman.
Voters registered to vote within Moore Norman Technology District, Moore School District and/or Norman School Board of Education District No. 3 will be eligible to vote.
During early voting, drive-thru voting assistance also will be available for voters who are not physically able to enter the polling place.
· Norman School District, Office 3, five-year term: Cindy Nashert and Gary L. Barksdale.
· Moore Norman Technology Center, Zone 3, Office 3, five-year term: Andy Sherrer and Tammy Maus.
Moore residents will cast ballots on a $126.4 million school bond to fund the construction of two elementary schools and a junior high school as well as other projects.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday for the Annual School Election.
Cleveland County Election Board Secretary Jim Williams reminded voters to bring identification that conforms to the Voter ID law. Voters may use their Voter Identification Card as proof of identity. Other Identification used to prove identity must be issued by the state of Oklahoma, the federal government or a federally recognized Indian Tribe or Nation. State Law requires voters to prove identity.
Documents, other than a Voter ID card, used for proof of identity must include name which must match the name on athe voter registration record, a photograph, and an expiration date that is later than election day.
Voters who need a Temporary Voter Identification Card may obtain one at the Cleveland County Election Board located at 641 E. Robinson, Norman.
Voters who are unsure of where to vote may look up their polling place at www.clevelandcountyelectionboard.com by using the polling place locator. The Cleveland County Election Board phone number is 366-0210.
Noble Town Council filing
Williams said the filing period for city of Noble Council members will start Monday and continue through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cleveland County Election Board Office, 641 E. Robinson St. in Norman.
Those positions include Noble council members in Wards 1 and 3 for two-year terms and in Ward 2 for an unexpired one-year term.
Candidates must complete a Declaration of Candidacy, which is available for download on the Cleveland County Election Board website, www.clevelandcountyelectionboard.com. Forms are also available at the Election Board office.
Forms must be notarized. The election board cannot notarize candidate filing papers.
Also, because city of Noble council member elections are non-partisan, when completing the Declaration of Candidacy form, all candidates should leave their political affiliation blank.
The City of Noble Municipal General will be April 2.
