NHS boys win soccer Clash on shootout

NORMAN — It had been forever, but that only made it sweeter for the Norman High boys, who finally topped Norman North on the soccer field.

Playing at John Crain Field, the pitch Sooner soccer calls home, NHS keeper Andrew Arledge won the game for the Tigers, stopping two penalty kicks while another clanked off the post and giving the Tigers their shootout victory over the T-Wolves.

A 0-0 game after 80 minutes, it ended, officially, 1-0.

The shootout score was 3-2 Tigers, with Zac Terry, Matt Tidwell and Reed Shafer-Ray converting for the Tigers and Curtis McCrae and Mauro Cichero converting for the T-Wolves.
