NORMAN — Oklahoma forward Romero Osby was named to coaches All-Big 12 team first team Sunday. Monday he was a second-team pick on the Associated Press’ All-Big 12 squad.
OU coach Lon Kruger was happy to see the senior forward get the recognition.
“He rates very high with his consistency and sincerity with regard to bringing it every day in practice,” he said Monday on the Big 12 coaches teleconference. “He’s concerned about his team more than individual stuff. He represents actually what you’d say talk about team goals and team success and others doing well. Good things happen when you do that and Ro represents that to a tee. That’s exactly the way he went about during the course of the year and it’s good to see good results for him.”
