NORMAN — Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger picked up his 500th career victory with the Sooners’ 69-65 win over Northwestern (La.) State on Friday night at Lloyd Noble Center.
Like most of the wins this season, the Sooners (6-1) didn’t have much margin for error. They never led by more than seven points.
Romero Osby led OU with 11 points, but fouled out after receiving a technical foul with 5 minutes remaining. Isaiah Cousins and Steven Pledger both finished with 9 points each.
Jalan West scored a game-high 13 points to lead the Demons (3-3).
