NORMAN — Beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday through Friday at 5 p.m., the sidewalk and outside driving lanes at the northwest corner of Main Street and University Boulevard (Republic Bank at 401 W. Main) will be closed for painting of the bank building. More specifically, the right turn lane of southbound University Boulevard will be diverted into the through and left turn lane of University Boulevard. The westbound outside lane of Main Street west of University Boulevard will also be diverted into the inside westbound lane of Main Street. The private contractor on the project is Grounds Painting Company. Traffic control will be provided to protect the travelling public.
