TULSA (AP) — Police say two people were injured in a double shooting at a Tulsa retirement community.
The shootings were reported at about 5 a.m. Thursday at the Shadybrook Retirement Community. Police tell the Tulsa World that the suspected assailant shot a man in the abdomen. According to police, the victim then gained control of the gun and shot the assailant in the arm.
Tulsa police Sgt. Chris Moudy says investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the altercation.
Firefighters at the scene say the victims were two men in their 30s who had been visiting a resident. Authorities say the men were awake and responsive when emergency crews arrived.
